Big thank you to Paula Caplan for making an important film about how non-veterans can help returning soldiers re-connect to civilian life through compassionate listening.

Another big thank you to Peter and Ann Aaronson, co-directors of the Indio Performing Arts Center for allowing us to hold the screening in the Old Towne Theatre.

While the number of attendees was low, the spirit was high as we engaged with one another after the film sharing our stories and impressions.

“I am SO grateful to you for all your hard work in organizing last night’s screening.  I know that sometimes organizers of events are upset if there is not a large crowd, but I personally am still elated about last night … both because of the wonderful things that were said in the discussion and because of the fact that one and quite possibly more additional screenings will come from this. Thanks a million!” Paula Caplan
